Izzo's First Trick or Treat!

It's Izzo's first Trick or Treat! He's dressed up as a pirate ... but doesn't want to put on his eye patch (duh!) ... I wanted him to dress as a pumpkin but I had a hard time convincing him in wearing one. He was with his friend Vince and both had a fun time. They had the most number of candies! Would you believe that. We registered late already so we were put on the batch 3 of parade, and they were the last kids in the line. Trick or Treat stations were set-up all around the office compound, there were actually 5. Employees were asked to donate candies for the kids and everybody got their share, but Izzo and Vince got a whole lot of share ... hehehe ... Since they were the last kids in the line ... they didn't get few candies ... they got plenty! Thanks to the generosity of everybody! My kiddo enjoyed every bit of it!

Help with Web Design

My Aunt asked me if it’s possible that they can create an email group for their 1968 and 1972 elementary and high school batch. I told them that I can create one for them and even come up with a website of their own. Since a lot of their batchmates are located in the United States and in some parts of U.A.E. and internet connection for them is not a problem, I told her that they can even send me their recent photos so that they could be updated on how they look now. They can even post their family pictures or even reunion pictures. So, I grabbed my mouse and searched for the best but affordable website design company and found Heritage Web Solutions. I browsed over and reviewed their portfolio and was amazed with their designs. They are all unique and are very classy. They have full original custom designs that you can choose from or they can create another one for you. Own your Own Domain

I didn't have any idea before about blogging ... what a blog looks like, that the one who owns a blog is called a blogger. I was surfing the internet all the time since we have a LAN connection in our office, so I get to check my emails, surf and research about stuffs ... but not blogging. Not until I came across a friend, who mind you I have known since years ago, have been blogging about her life. Her blog was like her online diary of what's going on with everything and anything with her. I got stuck in reading her posts then just suddenly without her telling me she changed her url address ... I called for help since I cannot anymore access her blog. I called her immediately and told her my dilemma ... she laughed and told me that she just bought her own domain. Huh? What's that, I asked her. Then she explained to me that she's into this paid blogging and that she 'll get more opportunities when she has her own domain. Oh .. is that so? So how do I do that? She told me that she got her website hosting facts from webhostingrating.com.

So, I did my assignment and went to the site and read all about it. Hmmm, this site is really very helpful. All the information I need about website hosting are all here. You'd find out that Web Hosting Rating is the biggest searchable web hosting directory! You'll find different web hosting providers, the hosting plans that they offer and even get to enjoy promos and discounts. And mind you for as low as $3 you get your site to be hosted on your own domain!!! Isn't that cool! So, what are you waiting for ... get your mouse clicking and change to your own domain now!!!

It's time for Vitamin Change!!!

I changed my son's vitamins from a plain Ascorbic Acid to Ascorbic Acid with Zinc. I got clearance from our pediatrician and she said that it's better than the plain Ascorbic Acid since Zinc builds up the body's immune system. Hmmm, this is what I need for my son's ... they're getting better now, except for Izzo's allergic rhinitis (clogged nose and sneezing all the time).

Looking for a Home ... Me to the Rescue!!!

My friend asked me to help her find a home that they could call their own. Currently they are just renting an apartment with her two sons and a house help ‘coz her husband is working abroad and comes home only once to twice a year for a vacation. They have been saving up for their own house … as in really saving up for this. She asked me to look one for their family. So, I suggested a townhouse in Marikina. It’s a 3.2 million, 4-bedroom two-story, and 3-bathroom townhouse with the morning sun shining on its small front lawn. It’s ready for occupancy and since I have seen it personally, I would say that it’s really nice and cozy inside. The wall colors are very warm and it also has a patio on the second floor. I asked her to see the house personally and let her assess if the location is convenient for her to commute to and from work.

She also told me that she’d seek my help in furnishing her home. We’ll look for nice furnitures and decorate her place to make it more warm and cozy for the whole family. And I’m pretty much excited about it too. Of course they say that your bathroom is the heart and soul of any home so I’d better suggest that we carefully look into dressing up their bathrooms as nice but simple as possible. We’ve checked already some online sites and been to showrooms to check on the prices and rates for these furnishing but we found an online store that offers a wide range of bathroom furnishings at an affordable price. They have over 400 different kinds of bathroom vanities online – from materials such as oak to marble, from the simple ones to the extravagant ones, name it they have it all at a reasonable price. We’ve checked their single bathroom vanities online and found so many designs that matched her taste and we’d never go wrong. They have materials such as oak to marble, from the simple ones to the extravagant ones, from contemporary to traditional styles - name it they have it all.

They also have other vanity products that would best go with the existing bathroom fixtures installed already. So from a wide range of selection of vanity products she wouldn’t have a hard time choosing for the right one. I’m so excited already … and we hope that she’d get the best priced home the soonest possible time!

Why Change? and Why Not?

Do you remember your good 'ol youthful days when you were just busy playing in between studying, and that watching TV is only an alternative when the rain is pouring so hard that you cannot meet your playmates outside and play till the sun goes down? And that you do not worry about your future because you know that you have your parents watching over you 24/7 and that they’d always be there for you and all you have to do is worry and think about yourself. Oh and did you ever thought of being able to change the world in your own simple way? If your answer is no, haha … well you’re not alone. Even I myself am guilty of this.

And if you’re wondering if there is such a child that would do such a thing for this world … there is one in existence today. It’s this twelve year old boy named Bilaal Rajan whose passion is to inspire other children to make this world a better place to live in. Bilaal created an impact to so many children that triggered many corporations to donate generously to raise money for UNICEF – for medicines, food, etc. And did you know that he is also the youngest ambassador of UNICEF? He also wrote a book “Making Change: Tips from an Underage Overachiever” where you would be able to read about his many accomplishments and be able to realize what great impact it is to this world if we could be able to imitate his works. Buy his book and contribute to his good works.

Check-Up Time!

We went to see my sons pedia today. Izzo was supposedly scheduled for an MMR booster and Renzo for a flu shot. But since both of them are still with colds and cough, the pedia postponed it for another week ... yup you heard it right, they're still sick ... i hate it when they get sick. Though my youngest has cold due to allergies (since it's allergy season now ... how I wish they'd go away forever!!!), but Izzo developed a full-blown cough and colds so he has to take antibiotic for 7 days. So, here we go again ... a week-long of running and crying just for this antibiotic ... Lord, I pray that you heal them right now!

Bad Credit Offers

I've been receiving calls at work from credit card agents telling me that I have been pre-selected to receive a credit card with a one-year free waived membership or annual fee ... blah, blah, blah. With harder times nowadays, more people are so struck by not being able to manage their credit card spendings thus having a bad credit history. Avoiding bad credit credit cards is not anymore a dream. One can avail of services of sites such as BadCreditOffers.com that enables you to apply for your immediate financial needs. So why wait? Cancer-Causing Lipsticks with Lead? Is this True?

With all the horror news and issues that has been popping out in the newspapers ... milk scare in china, bpa issues, toys that had been recalled because of lead-content ... what's next? I've been receiving emails pertaining to lipsticks that contains lead and could case cancer. Indicated in the email are some famous brands of lipsticks that we would still find in the market. So what I did was to browse and check out snopes.com for answers to clarify and free my mind with all the worries in using lipsticks (which mind you is an important part of all the working women out there). So, snopes.com said ... this is FALSE!!! Dyes being used in lipsticks are FDA approved. They say that any manufacturer that would want to do business in the USA should conform to the standards set by FDA. There are also no record whatsoever of anybody being poisoned by lead in lipsticks. So there you go ... it's been made clear guys ... no harm in putting on some color to our faces ... brighten yourself up with your fave lipstick!!!

Christmas is Near!!!

Jingle Bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way ... hmmm, hmmm,

Yup, you heard that right! Its that 'ol Christmas carol ... and i've been hearing Christmas carols in the malls since the start of October. Christmas is really near ... and I guess it's less than 100 days away! So it's time to get ready with your shopping for gifts to your loved ones! And I plan to give all my relatives residing in the U.S. Christmas cards or better yet call them so a Phone Number Lookup will come in handy to help my number search. So all together now ... Dashing thru the snow ... hmmm, hmmm ...

Exercise and Diet ... Am I Ready for This?

Our company is all out campaigning for a wellness program for all its employees. They launched a Fit & Fab program wherein employees who joined are given lectures on wellness, exercise and lifestyle coaching. They even renovated our old gym, bought new and state-of-the-art equipments which were imported from France ... and when I first saw it ... I told myself that I don't have any excuses anymore in starting out my weight-loss program. The convenience of going to the gym is not anymore a problem ... it's only a matter of will to go there. So maybe in 6 month's time, I'd be able to lose some weight already ... Watch Out!!!

We enjoy the small & limited space we move on ... this also serves as our bonding time too!

Homeschooling

During the time that we were scouting for a school for my eldest Izzo ... I was really considering in homeschooling him instead of enrolling him in a traditional school. I came across a website that offers educational resources for your kids. Just make sure that you subscribe to their mailing list so get to be emailed updates.
