Airsoft Extreme

Hubby is a huge fan of airsoft. He so much enjoys looking, holding, unassembles and assembles them for x number of times. He has in possession as of this moment ('coz he's into buy and sell also ... he buys 2nd hand, fixes or upgrades them and sells them) are 2 guns. He was able to sell just 2 months ago his M4 and his pistol. Of course, he plans on buying another pistol, but he really has to save up first for that. If women go into bags, clothes, shoe boutiques and spends time just looking, canvassing and sometimes even trying them on to get the feel of it ... airsofters do the same whenever they do go to their airsoft boutiques. They can spend one whole day just looking and appreciating their work of arts. But of course this whole day comes with making chicka (exchange of updates) over other airsofters in the shop.

What's more interesting is that like any other women they also have accessories that go with the guns. From their clothes (army fatigues, vests, shemag – which I hope I spelled right), to their eye and head accessories (googles and helmets), to their shoes (boots) and other accessories like knee pads, elbow pads, hand gloves … this is what they call their full battle gear! I remember one time when we went to a mall, he asked me if we can drop by a shop, so we dropped by and showed me this new brand of pants 511 Pants which he can use not only when he goes to play but even during ordinary days. Hmmm, this gives me an idea … I can give a 511 Pants to him as a Christmas present … nice and affordable. So to those moms out there … these tactical pants can be a unique gift to your hubby too. Advanced Merry Christmas to everybody!!!

It's a Holiday!!!

Yahoo!!! It's Bonifacio Day today ... but tomorrow Dec. 1 is also a declared holiday!!! This gives me ample time for rest and SHOPPING!!!

I was wondering if anybody of you has received their Christmas bonus? Hmmm ....

I'm Back!!!

Whew! It's been a very tiring and uber busy 3 weeks for me. Wasn't able to get hold of my PC to do my regular rounds and to post. Well, here are the reasons why:

1. I was invited to conduct a team building session for one of our big distributor in Visayas with their dealer outlets. It was held at Nature's Resort in Bacolod (will post pix in a separate post with details of course!) and I was a bit nervous 'coz our company President & COO was there with us to give support to this activity. But thank God, the event was a success!!! Well, I'm hoping that this would be (at least) credited to my accomplishment for the year (hehehe ... doesn't sound that I'm aspiring for another promotion in the next one or two years).

2. Of to the Summer Capital of the Philippines ... Baguio!!! I was also requested to hold a team building session for our North and Central Luzon promotions representatives. And thank God, this too was a successful event. Pix and details to follow also.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

November 7 - This is my daddy's 65th birthday! Happy Birthday Daddy! We just had dinner at Dencio's at Eastwood City. Then ate dessert at Dairy Queen ... oh my I think I gained again those pounds I lost.

A Story Revealed!!!

Our mother company's top management were faced with a tough and hard decision that they have to make. I would say this because it would really affect the most important asset of any company - its workforce. We've been hearing this since late 2003 - a major reorganization will have to take place, so be prepared ... blah, blah, blah. Wasn't internalized much, until early 2005 that our General Manager will have to retire and have to be replaced. So, the new GM came in and the reorganization pushed thru April 2007. Well, it was not just a reorganization but a closing down of one of our company's subsidiary. So it means everybody employed will be losing their jobs. Good thing that some of them took steps in preparing themselves for an early retirement. Some went into selling real estates (I mean their wives) and I've heard that they learned a lot from reading on Nouveau Riche Scam real estate site (huh? scam? ... what's this?). Some were thinking of putting up a trucking business when they receive their retirement pays. Well with the country's economy at the downside, it's really hard to cope up with the rising cost of raw materials and other expenses to keep the company running.

Hmmm, got curious the said site ... Nouveau Riche Scam ... is this a scam? So I checked myself well found out that it's a site where they publish success stories on real estate investments, careers, etc. And they also provide tips on how to avoid being scammed. You might try to surf Nouveau Riche Scam yourself. There's nothing to lose ... just read on!

Domains For Sale!!!

I have friends from Australia, Canada and in the United States who are so into blogging. But mind you, there are more Filipino bloggers than I have ever imagined. I remember one time, a marketing executive in our company mentioned "blogging" as a booming advertising medium in the Philippines. And I should say that I agree with him.

A lot of websites are now offering services that can let you have your own domains. And you can even sell yours if you want. Netfleet Domains as mentioned by my friend has helped her with owning her own domain without the hassles.

A Birthday Dilemma!!!

It's only a month and a half away before my youngest Renzo's first birthday. Well, I would say that I'm having a birthday dilemma because I'm low in finances right now and I now so pretty sure that we can celebrate his first birthday just like his kuya (elder brother). Times are really hard nowadays ... my gosh! I'm leaving everything to God. If He wants Renzo to have a grand birthday, then so be it. And I believe that He will provide for it. But if it's the other way around, then I can't argue with that. Maybe He has other plans ...

A Perfect Illusion!!!

Just wanna share this with you guys ... this is amazing!!!
Stand a few feet away from your computer screen ...
Who do you see?

Another Case of Viral Infection!!!

Grrrr .... I'm so angry with these cold viruses in our surroundings nowadays ... they are so hard-headed! Doesn't want to leave my kids alone and that also includes me. I have another attack of a cold virus, despite of me finished with taking a complete dose of antibiotic for 7 days. When my kids are getting better, it's either me or my hubby catches another virus. So, another dose of antibiotics for me, a different one at that, according to our company doctor. So I have to take it till Sunday ... and hopefully, we all get better.

You Can See A Brighter Future!

One thing I’ve noticed when you soak yourself too much in using the computer is that your super clear vision before is no longer clear … I seem to have trouble reading the newspaper now. I already have consulted an optometrist to have my eye checked … lo and behold, I need eyeglasses badly … I have astigmatism and should be corrected now or else this might get worse. I remember during my high school days, I used to borrow my older brother’s eyeglasses and use it in school to show-off … hehehe … ‘coz I thought it was a really chic idea ... I was wrong.

But gone are the days when one has to spend hundreds or even thousand of bucks just for a fashionable eyeglass, who needs them when Zenni Optical sells stylish prescription glasses for as low as $8. With their very reasonable prices … I can even buy one each for the whole family ‘coz they have a huge selection of frames, lenses, bifocal lenses so there’s one for each. Their secret for their low priced products … they sell their manufactured glasses straight to their consumers. No advertising expenses and no middlemen to ask for commissions.

A Health Test!!!

It was a rainy All Saint's Day for us ... of course I was so worried about my kids getting another event of colds and cough from our overnight stay at the cemetery. But I really thank God for they have both survived it! It only means that their immune system are up and beginning to recover already. Whew!!! After a month of going back and forth to the pedia and drinking tons of antibiotics and other medicines ... at long last ... they're free from the virus. I pray for their full recovery the soonest time!!!

Another Rollback!!!

Whew ... keep it coming!!! This is really good news to all motorists out there ... Unleaded Gasoline at P44.07/liter. But take note that not all gasoline stations has the same price, others charge slightly higher but the gasoline station where we gas up it's P44.07/liter. But the only problem is, will the price of basic commodities will also go down ... that I can't answer. Let's just hope and pray.

A Day of Remembering ...

It's already a tradition that we spend a night over the cemetery to remember our loved ones who passed away. Ever since my Kuya Omar died, it has become a yearly tradition for us to get together and spend the night at Loyola Memorial Park. We also remember Mike (my younger brother) who passed away also last December 8, 2006. We deeply miss you both! We Love You!
